Terms & Conditions

These Terms govern your use of Khetiyaar — the AI farming assistant, the Agri Bazar marketplace, brand and dealer profiles, the dealer locator, and our coin-based pay-as-you-go economy. Please read them before using the app.

1. Acceptance

  • By creating an account or using Khetiyaar, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
  • If you do not agree, please stop using the app and delete your account from the Profile screen or by emailing support@khetiyaar.com.
  • We may update these Terms as the app evolves; material changes will be announced inside the app and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

2. Your Account

  • One account per phone number. Keep your OTP and registered phone secure — anyone with the OTP can sign in as you.
  • You must be at least 18 years old. Under India's DPDP Act 2023, users below 18 require verifiable parental consent.
  • You are responsible for everything done from your account, including marketplace listings, brand profile content, and coin spending. Report suspected unauthorised access to support@khetiyaar.com immediately.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, the Privacy Policy, or applicable Indian law. Closing your account erases or anonymises your data within 30 days.

3. Agri Bazar Marketplace

  • Khetiyaar is an information and matchmaking platform — listings are submitted by farmers, dealers, and brands; transactions happen directly between users outside the app.
  • We do not warrant product quality, weight, freshness, dealer stock, on-time delivery, or seller statements. Verify in person before paying.
  • Disputes are settled between buyer and seller. We may review reports and remove violating content, but Khetiyaar is not a party to your transaction.
  • Brand and dealer profiles may require verification (GST number, regulatory licences, identity). Approval and the “Verified” badge — including an automated AI screen of any GST, licence, or certificate you upload, plus human review where needed — are granted at our discretion and may be revoked at any time.
  • Prohibited listings: counterfeit or unauthorised brand goods, banned pesticides, expired stock, narcotics, weapons, manipulated prices, and anything illegal under Indian law.
  • See something wrong? Use the in-app Report option on listings and reviews. We review reports, may remove violating content, and may suspend repeat violators.
  • “Verified”, “Certified”, and “Organic” badges only mean a seller uploaded a document that passed our screening — they are NOT an independent legal guarantee of authenticity, quality, or organic certification. Always verify claims yourself before paying.

Buyer Requirements (“Wanted” posts)

  • Buyers — exporters, traders, mills/processors, shops, hotels, FPOs, and farmers — can post what they want to BUY (product, quantity, quality, price range, needed-by date, buying radius). Sellers see matching posts and contact the buyer directly; the deal happens outside the app. Khetiyaar charges no commission and is not a party to the transaction. Contacting a buyer is free.
  • Never pay money to a buyer. Genuine buyers never ask sellers for a “transport advance”, “sample fee”, “registration charge”, deposit, or any other payment. Any such request is a scam — do not pay, and report the post immediately from the in-app Report option. Khetiyaar is not liable for payments you make to other users.
  • The “Verified buyer” badge means the buyer submitted a business document (GST / IEC / APMC) that passed our screening (an automated AI check plus human review where needed). It is granted and revoked at our discretion, and it is NOT a guarantee of the buyer's payment, creditworthiness, purchase volume, or identity beyond that document. Verify the buyer independently, agree payment terms in writing where possible, and prefer payment before or at handover of produce.
  • Requirement posts expire automatically (currently after 30 days) unless you renew them, and the number of simultaneously active posts per account is limited (currently 5). We may change these limits with in-app notice.
  • Post only genuine demand, with honest quantities and price ranges. Fake or exploratory demand posts, price manipulation, re-posting content we removed, and requirements for agro-chemicals (which cannot be traded peer-to-peer on Khetiyaar) are prohibited.
  • Match notifications to sellers are a best-effort convenience — delivery and timing are not guaranteed, and a missed notification creates no liability.

4. Coins & Payments

  • Coins are prepaid in-app credits used for AI features (crop plans, garden plans, diagnosis, chat). They are not money, not a wallet or deposit, cannot be transferred to another account, and cannot be cashed out.
  • Coin packs are purchased through your device's app store — Google Play In-app Billing on Android or Apple In-App Purchase on iOS. The price is always shown before you pay, and that store's refund policy applies to purchase problems (double charge, accidental purchase).
  • If an AI generation fails because of a problem on our side, the coins charged for it are automatically refunded to your balance.
  • Free or bonus coins (welcome bonus, streak rewards, gifts) are promotional, have no cash value, and their rules may change or end with in-app notice.
  • Feature costs and coin-pack prices may change; changes are shown in the app before you spend. Deleting your account forfeits any remaining coin balance, except where the law requires otherwise.

5. Mandi Prices & Market Data

  • Mandi prices in the app come from AGMARKNET via the Open Government Data Platform India (data.gov.in), published by the Government of India under the GODL-India license.
  • Prices are for general information only. Market committees report them with possible delays, revisions, or gaps — always confirm the actual rate at the mandi before traveling or selling.
  • Distances, travel costs, and profit figures are approximate estimates based on district-level locations and editable assumptions — not quotations or guarantees.
  • Khetiyaar does not buy, sell, or broker any produce, and is not responsible for trading decisions made using this information.
  • Price trends and recommendations are informational tools, not financial or trading advice.
  • Price alerts and the AI “sell or wait” suggestion are a best-effort convenience — delivery and timing are not guaranteed, and they are informational only, never financial or trading advice or a promise of future prices.

6. Government Procurement & MSP

  • MSP, procuring agencies (like FCI, CCI, NAFED, NCCF), documents, and steps shown in the app are general reference information from Government of India sources for the stated marketing year.
  • Exact registration/procurement dates, prices, eligibility, and rules are decided by the Government and can change — we show dates only when verified, otherwise typical timing. Always confirm on the official portal or at your procurement centre before acting.
  • Khetiyaar is independent and not affiliated with any government body. We do not register you, submit applications, weigh or grade produce, or handle procurement payments.
  • Registration-window reminders are a best-effort convenience; delivery and timing are not guaranteed, and a missed reminder does not extend any government deadline.
  • Government portals and helplines we link to are operated by third parties under their own terms.

7. Farming Pulse Poll

  • Taking part is voluntary. You may enter up to 4 crop plans per poll and edit or remove them at any time. Entries must be truthful — spam or fake plans may be removed.
  • Trends are aggregated, approximate estimates built from the responses we actually receive — in a small area that may be only a few farmers. They are informational only: not a forecast, not a guarantee of demand or price, and not advice to plant, buy, or sell.
  • Bigha and Vigha are converted to acres using documented approximate factors, which is why every total is marked “~”.
  • Anonymised insights may be shared with government, market, and manufacturer partners. Your name and phone number are never shown to other farmers.

8. AI Disclaimer

  • AI plans, chats, garden plans, and crop-disease diagnosis are guidance only, not professional advice.
  • Generated outputs depend on the data you provide; incorrect inputs lead to incorrect plans. Verify before applying chemicals or making large purchases.
  • AI is not a substitute for a qualified agronomist, veterinarian, or licensed agro-input dealer. Verify dosages, prices, and chemical safety with a local expert.
  • Outcomes (yield, soil health, pest control, weather) depend on many factors outside our control; we make no warranty of specific results.
  • Land Measurement gives a GPS-based estimate for planning only — it is not a legal survey and must not be used for land records, sale documents, or boundary disputes. Weather data is a third-party forecast and can be wrong.

9. Content & Intellectual Property

  • Our learning content, AI prompts, app design, brand assets, and the Khetiyaar name and logo are owned by Khetiyaar Argitech LLP and protected by Indian and international IP law.
  • Do not redistribute, copy, scrape, or sell our content, AI outputs, or learning material without written permission.
  • Content you upload (listing photos, brand logos, reviews, posts) remains yours. By uploading you grant Khetiyaar a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, translate, and resize it inside the app.
  • You confirm you own or have permission for everything you upload. We may remove content that infringes others' rights or violates law.

10. Prohibited Activities

  • No spam, harassment, hate speech, sexual content, or abusive content directed at other users, dealers, or brands.
  • No fake accounts, impersonation of other farmers, dealers, brands, or government agencies; no automated bots or fake reviews.
  • No attempts to hack, scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the app, its APIs, or its security; no fraudulent coin purchases or chargeback abuse.
  • No use of Khetiyaar for any illegal activity under Indian law, including selling banned agro-chemicals, narcotics, weapons, or evading taxes.

11. Limitation of Liability

  • The app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free AI outputs, or accurate marketplace data.
  • To the maximum extent allowed by Indian law, Khetiyaar is not liable for crop loss, financial damage, missed weather alerts, marketplace disputes, or AI-driven decisions.
  • Our maximum aggregate liability to you is limited to the value of coins you purchased in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000 — whichever is greater.
  • Force majeure applies — natural disasters, government orders, network outages, sub-processor downtime, and pandemics excuse delayed or interrupted service.

12. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act 2000 and the DPDP Act 2023.
  • Disputes will be resolved exclusively by the courts in Gujarat, India.
  • Before going to court, please email support@khetiyaar.com — we attempt to resolve issues amicably within 30 days.
