What Farming Pulse does

01

Vote your plan in one tap

Pick the crop you intend to grow, your district, land size and timing. Up to 4 plots per poll, so a mixed season is easy to record.

02

Live, area-wise trends

Aggregated demand by crop and area, updated in seconds as responses come in.

03

Tap any crop for the breakdown

Farmer count, planned land and the share that crop holds in your area.

04

The unit you already use

Enter land in bigha, vigha or acre. Totals convert to approximate acres, always marked with a “~”.

05

Edit or remove anytime

Change a plan or delete it whenever you like — your entries stay yours.

06

Private by design

Your individual response is never shown to other farmers. Only aggregated numbers are visible.

How it works

Three steps

  1. Vote your plan

Pick a crop, your district, land size and timing. Up to 4 plots per poll.

  2. See live trends

Real, aggregated demand by crop and area, updated in seconds. Tap any crop for a breakdown — farmers, planned land, share.

  3. Edit anytime

Change or remove any plan whenever you like.

What these numbers are — and are not

  • Trends are aggregated, approximate estimates built from the responses actually received. In a small area that may be only a few farmers.
  • Informational only — never a forecast, never a guarantee of demand or price, and never advice to plant, buy or sell.
  • Bigha and vigha convert to acres using documented approximate factors, which is why every total carries a “~”.
  • Your individual response is never shown to other farmers, and insights shared with partners are aggregate only — never your identity.
  • Taking part is voluntary, and you can edit or delete your plans at any time.

Questions farmers ask us first.

What is Farming Pulse?

A poll inside Khetiyaar where you record the crop you plan to grow. Responses from farmers across an area are added up into live demand trends, so you can see what your region is planning before you decide.

Who can see what I voted?

No other farmer. Your individual response is never shown to other users — only aggregated totals by crop and area are visible. Authorised Khetiyaar staff can see an individual response with your name and phone so we can follow it up; that access is logged and the data is never sold, as our Privacy Policy sets out.

How many crop plans can I enter?

Up to four per poll, so you can record a mixed season across separate plots. You can edit or remove any of them at any time.

What happens to my votes when a new poll starts?

They are not deleted. A vote belongs to the poll it was cast in, so when a new poll opens your earlier entries stay with the closed one and simply stop appearing under your current votes. You get a fresh set of four plans for the new poll.

Does Farming Pulse know exactly where my field is?

No. A poll response carries only the district and state of the plot. No precise village or GPS location is attached to it.

Are the trends a prediction of prices or demand?

No. They are aggregated, approximate estimates of what farmers have told us they plan to grow — nothing more. For actual rates, see Mandi Bhav, which uses official AGMARKNET data.

Is Farming Pulse available in Gujarati and Hindi?

Yes — the whole feature works in Gujarati, Hindi and English, like the rest of the app.
